When Ronaldinho was 13 years old his football club won a match with a score of 23-0 and all the goals were scored by him.
Ronaldinho was born in a small Brazilian city going by the name Porto Alegre. His mother (Miguelina) worked as a salesperson but switched careers into nursing after pursuing further studies. His father (Joao) worked at a shipyard and not surprising, played football for the club Cruzeiro. So was his elder brother Roberto who played for Gremio. Ronaldinho’s father was to later pass away though, when the young boy was aged just 8.
His football prowess began to show at an early age, as he honed his skills playing futsal and beach football. This was to later develop into a deep passion for the more standardized form of football (soccer). He first came to the media spotlight after he netted 23 goals in a 23-0 victory against a local team. He was aged 13 at this time.
He continued to grow as a star, more so after he was identified at the Egypt 1997 under-17 world championship, following a magnificent display.
